COVID Updates
Welcome to the COVID Update Page
All of the teachers, staff, administrators, and supervisors are working extra hard this year to make sure your students are not only staying on track with their education but also staying safe and healthy. In addition to the Distance Learning Plan, we have been putting a lot of thought into how we can provide extra cleaning, feeding, counseling, and cultural support for students and the community overall. Below are some informational videos from across the district telling you about all we are doing. We are looking forward to seeing everyone in our buildings again – but until then – we have not forgotten the most important thing … our Students

FCSD14 School Re-Entry Plan
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Fremont County School District #14 (FCSD14) has developed this plan to facilitate the education of our students in a way that promotes the safety and wellness of our students, staff, families and community. All health and safety procedures will be aligned with best practices outlined by the Center for Disease Control (CDC), Wyoming Department of Health (WDH), Indian Health Service (IHS) and Fremont County Health Department (FCHD). The School Board’s decision to open or close schools will be aligned with Tribal, County and State orders. FCSD14 will also comply with state statutes and rules relating to providing high quality, standards based educational opportunities to all students.
COVID-19 Exposure, Isolation, and Quarantine Resources
The Wyoming Department of Health shares updated information and protocols with school districts as they evolve and change to match the landscape of COVID-19 reported cases in Fremont County. If you have questions about what to do if you are informed as having ‘close contact’, are recommended for isolation or quarantine, or have been tested as positive the below resources are very helpful. They explain what to do and when to do it. As always, we are here to help and provide guidance so please do not hesitate to call your school nurse, supervisor, or HR with questions or concerns.
Isolation and quarantine are public health practices used to protect the public by preventing exposure to people who have or may have a contagious disease.
Isolation separates sick people with a contagious disease from people who are not sick.
Quarantine separates and restricts the movement of people who were exposed to a contagious disease to see if they become sick. These people may have been exposed to a disease and do not know it, or they may have the disease but do not show symptoms.
